The month of March goes into the record books as cooler and drier than normal in Regina.
Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang says most of the province had below normal temperatures last month.
Lang says Regina’s mean temperature was minus 6, 1.2 degrees cooler than normal.
Lang says Regina had only 7.5 millimeters of precipitation in March, compared to the usual 19.7 millimeters.
Last month was the 30th driest March in 136 years of records in Regina.
Lang adds it was particularly dry in the southeast at Estevan where precipitation reached only 18 percent of the 30 year average in March.
