Regina City Council will renew debate Wednesday over a bylaw aimed at banning conversion therapy in the city.
Conversion therapy is an attempt to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
Council approved a draft of the bylaw at the end of April, leaving time for councillors to consult with organizations ahead of further debate.
Before approving the bylaw, more than 30 delegates from all over the country pled their case to council in a marathon meeting.
The City of Saskatoon banned the practice in February and the federal government passed a bill that will ban the practice in June.
Many delegates are once again scheduled to appear in front of council on Wednesday, including a significant number of faith leaders
