We had a special guest join us in studio for Tell Me Something Good this week! Rudy Uhl is biking across Canada to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association in a challenge he has dubbed the BAR 100|100 (Bike and Ride 100 km|100 km). In each province along the way he also plans to complete an ultra-marathon! This week he logged 50km around Wascana Lake for his Saskatchewan stop. Rudy says he has been thinking of tackling this bike ride for a couple years now and this year he decided to put his foot to pedal and get going.
We chatted with him about his motivation to start this journey, which he is doing completely on his own, some of the challenges he has faced along the way, plus some of his favourite parts of the journey so far! Rudy has a goal of raising $84,775 for CMHA which works out to about $10 for every kilometer he was expecting to move between cycling and running. You can donate HERE and follow along with his journey on his Instagram! Take a listen to our chat with Rudy below!
