Adama Canada to create new team of agronomists

Adama Canada has announced plans to expand its support to retailers and the farming community through the creation of a new team of agronomists.

The company expects to have the new team of specialists in place in various areas of the country by January, in preparation for the next growing season.

Adama supplies crop protection products and the company says the new team of agronomists will provide advice on products, coordinate trials and product demonstrations and develop informational materials for farmers.

The company says it is looking for staff with several years of experience as well as degrees in life sciences such as weed science or agronomy.

The company expects to have four agronomists in place early in the new year, and may add more positions.

Adama is the seventh largest crop protection company in the world with sales in 100 countries and a portfolio of over 270 active ingredients.
