Christmas Could Bring End to Cold Snap

Its been a prolonged period of arctic air spilling down to the prairies.  Its what has brought us these mind numbing cold temperatures for the last week or so.

Christmas Eve things should be getting better.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada the cold should start to ease Christmas Eve, and temperatures after Christmas should be more in line with what we would consider normal, or average for this time of year:  Highs of 10, lows of Minus 22.  In fact, we might even be warmer than average for a few days  with highs expected to be better than that, and not quite that cold at night.

It should be a welcome relief from the -40 windchill and minus 30 temperatures we have been experiencing.
