Premier Scott Moe will lead a short mission to the United States.
Exports to the U.S. increased 51.5 per cent from $13.1 billion in 2020 to 19.9 billion in 2021, with crude oil, potash and canola oil being the top exports.
Moe will be in Washington D.C. to talk with stakeholders to strengthen and expand the critical mineral sector in North America, and exploring ways to address global energy concerns.
In a media release, Moe said there is also tremendous opportunity for Saskatchewan to strengthen our ties with our American neighbors, particularly in the areas of critical mineral development and processing.
The premier will be back in Saskatchewan on Thursday.
