A 26 year old man is facing charges, and is nursing a dog bite after an arrest on Sunday in Regina.

Police were called out to the 600 Block of Montague Street, near Pony Park for reports of someone breaking into a garage. When police arrived the suspect had fled, but callers to Communications Centre reported the man was hiding in nearby yards.

A K-9 team tracked the man to where he was hiding under a deck. When he refused to come out, the police dog made contact with him, biting him on the forearm.

Shayden Alexzander Thompson has been charged with mischief under five-thousand dollars, and Break and Enter with intent.
