Tim Hortons is bringing smiles back to Regina with its annual smile cookie campaign.
For the city’s 2022 campaign, the Regina Food Bank has been chosen as the charity partner.
“We’re so excited to see the community has our back once again,” said CEO of the Regina Food Bank, John Bailey.
Smile cookie week kicks off tomorrow and ends on Sept. 25 and there are 19 participating Tim Hortons locations in Regina.
100% of the proceeds collected from smile cookies will be donated to the Regina Food Bank.
The food bank sees an average of 12 to 13,000 users every month and produces roughly four million meals throughout the year.
“The smile cookie campaign has an opportunity to put a huge dent in that and can comprise upwards of three to 400,000 meals if we have a really great successful campaign,” said Bailey.
Bailey added that the money will go towards core service provisions like distributing daily hampers and their school programs.
“For every dollar raised at a campaign like this, we can turn it into three meals just because we have the internal processes and connections with vendors to really stretch that dollar to make a maximum impact,” says Bailey.
