As of Friday, a saskatoon woman is facing charges of assault with a weapon.
This is after an altercation involving a knife at a business in Regina on Victoria Avenue Thursday morning.
Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Victoria Avenue around 9:30 a.m.
When police arrived, the 51-year-old male victim told police the female suspect had repeatedly approached his three-year-old son in the business.
When the victim asked her to stop, she pulled out a wide-bladed utility knife from her waistband and raised it at the victim.
The victim immediately left the business with his son. He stated he saw the female leave the business in a cab.
Officers were able to locate and arrest 28-year-old Jaylene Laliberte, identified as the suspect.
She was charged with assault with a weapon but has been released on conditions and will make her first court appearance on the charges on Monday, October 17th.
