Now anyone over 18 is eligible for a fourth dose of COVID Vaccine.
The provincial government made the announcement this morning.
Starting now, anyone over the age of 18 can book themselves in for the booster, with the first shots going into arms on Monday.
“COVID-19 is still circulating in Saskatchewan and in other jurisdictions, which is why our province is expanding access,” Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab said. “All COVID-19 vaccines approved in Canada have been deemed safe and our preliminary data shows that a second booster provides additional protection.”
COVID 19 vaccination appointments are available through the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and participating pharmacies.
Before today, the booster was only available for those who are 50 years and older.
