The latest data shows Canadian and U.S. farm tractor monthly unit sales fell in June, while harvester sales grew in both countries.

The details from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers says tractor sales were down 5 percent in Canada and 8.2 percent in the U.S. in June.

However, in Canada, two wheel drive units in the 40 to 100 horsepower range grew 1.8 percent and four wheel drive tractors jumped 46 percent last month.

Total two wheel drive tractors over 100 horsepower were down 11 percent.

Combine sales in Canada grew 35 percent in June to 154 units.

Year to date farm tractor sales are down 7.9 percent in Canada while combines are down 15.5 percent.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers says overall unit sales in June are at or above the 5 year average for both Canada and the U.S., despite ongoing supply chain challenges holding tractors back.
