Two People Facing First Degree Murder Charges

Two people who had originally been charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder, are now facing  more severe charges.

First degree murder.

Last month, police began investigating a report of an injured woman in the 1200 Block of Garnet Street in Regina.

30 year old Lori Shannon Huntinghawk was taken to hospital by EMS.  She died in hospital June 6th.

Police had arrested and charged two people as part of this investigation, and now both have had those charges upgraded to first degree murder.

24 year-old Tegan Lestat Laplante, and 34 year-old Ashley Rempel are both from Regina.

Both have made their initial appearances in provincial court.
