Severe Thunderstorms and Potential Tornados

A ridge of warm moist unstable air mass is making its way across Saskatchewan, bringing about weather warnings from Environment and Climate Change Canada for pretty much the entire southern half of the province, apart from the southwest.

The City of Regina has been under a severe thunderstorm watch, meaning the conditions are ripe for a severe storm.

Areas outside of Regina have had severe thunderstorm warnings, meaning the storm is about to, or will happen.  Some of those areas, like Indian Head, Fort Qu’Appelle also had tornado warnings.

Some of those warnings were broadcast through the federal government’s emergency communication system to smart phones, computers and televisions.

If you are under a Tornado Warning, take cover immediately.
