Nature Conservancy Project highlighted west of Regina near Lonetree Lake

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) has announced a new conservation project at the Lonetree Lake property located about an hour and 45 minutes west of Regina.

The 1554 acre space consists of endangered grasslands and wetlands.

Many private donors contributed to the conservation of Lonetree Lake, including members of the field of dreams Facebook group, Which was initiated by University of Regina professor Marc Spooner.

The event is taking place Wednesday June 22 from 1-4pm at Clear Lake Municipal Park which borders Lonetree lake.

There will be speeches from special guests and two different tours to better understand the area.
