Regina Police were forced to deploy a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) while appending a suspect on Monday night

Police were dispatched to a business on the 2000 block of Broad Street on the report a man had a knife.

When police arrived, the suspect walked aggressively towards the officers. One officer successfully deployed a CEW to allow the officers to take the suspect into custody.

A knife was located on the man.

33 year old Kevin Peequaquat is facing charges including possession of a weapon.

He will appear in Provincial Court on August 15.
