Premier Scott Moe is heading out on a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates next week.
Moe’s mission will focus on the natural resource, agriculture and agri-value sectors.
“As a producer of some of the most sustainable agriculture, energy and mining products anywhere in the world, Saskatchewan has a lot to offer,” Moe said in a media release.
He’ll also talk about carbon capture tech here in Saskatchewan as well as highlighting Saskatchewan as a global energy leader.
The province has a trade office in the UAE that opened in January.
Saskatchewan is already the largest supplier of canola seed and lentils to the UAE, to the tune of $636 million Canadian in 2021.
The mission runs from May 7-11 and will include meetings with government and industry representatives in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
