Whitehawk trial in the hands of jury Friday

The fate of Dillon Whitehawk will be in the hands of a jury at his murder trial.
Whitehawk, 27, is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the 2019 deaths of Jordan Denton, 27 and Keenan Toto, 23.
Whitehawk’s laywer Thomas Hynes made his final arguments Thursday morning for half an hour at the Delta Regina Hotel, and asked the jury to look into nine doubts from some of the witnesses.
Hynes suggested possible other shooters in the deaths of the victims, and said that the Crown’s evidence relies on disreputable witnesses.

Whitehawk did not take the stand in his own defence.
After the charge from Justice Neil Robertson Friday morning, the jury will be pared down to 12 after a lottery draw and sequestered until they reach a verdict.
