Search by Air, Land and Water Continues for Five Year Old Boy

In the air, on the ground, and in the water.  No stone is being left unturned, as the search continues for a five year old boy on the Red Earth Cree Nation.

Its now been two days, and two very cold snowy nights since five year old Frank Young was last seen.

“It’s cold and snowy and this is a very young child, so we are very concerned.” says Sgt. Richard Tonge of the Carrot River RCMP

“The Saskatchewan RCMP and partner agencies, together with the local community, continue to tirelessly search for Frank,” . Efforts include using everything from all-terrain vehicles and boats to thermal imaging, on-foot grid searches and more.”  Overnight, the temperature has dropped close to minus 10 degrees.

Frank is described as 4 feet tall, approximately 66 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing rubber boots, green pajamas, and a navy blue jacket.

Police are conducting a second search from the air today.  The RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team are being brought in to check out local bodies of water.

On top of the numerous local volunteers who are involved in the search, several organized Search and Rescue teams from across Saskatchewan have converged on the Red Earth Cree Nation.
