Police arrest three for assault, find items while arresting man

Police arrested three people after an assault complaint led to a search of an apartment on the 400 block of College Avenue.
A woman asked for assistance at 4:16 a.m. Saturday on the 2300 block of Reynolds Street after a report of an assault by a man and two women.
Police and a K-9 unit tracked down the suspects and arrested the three, and during the arrest of a 32-year-old man, discovered a sawed off rifle, a cattle prod style taser, illegal drugs and some cash.
A 32-year-old woman and 28-year-old woman were also arrested.

Michael Asfha was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, posession of proceeds from crime and posession for the purpose of trafficking.

Asfha, will make his first court appearance Monday.

The women, Saundra Cyr and Ramanda Sayer, were charged with assault and will make their first appearances May 31.
