An update to yesterday’s power outage that affected the southwest section of the province.

Around 6:15 pm, power was restored to Eastend, Val Marie, Climax and other surrounding areas. Crews were also able to restore power to the Shaunavon area

Power was not restored in Maple Creek and were without power overnight.

Crews are staged in Swift Current to restore power first thing Wednesday morning.

Early estimates show 200 crossarms and 200-300 power poles were damaged from the heavy winds and precipitation .
