On Monday night at around 9:00, a semi heading west on Highway #1 collided with the Main Street overpass with an oversized load in Moose Jaw.

Moose Jaw Police along with the Department of Highways responded to the incident.

The highway was reduced to one lane for a period of time to clear off the debris and to make sure the overpass was safe for driving.

Damage of the overpass and the semi-trailer unit is estimated to be $250,000.

The driver of the semi was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
