A play about growing up in Regina, hits the Globe Theatre

“Holdin’ on to What’s Golden” is taking the stage at the Globe Theatre in Regina.

Written by Skyler Anderson and Greg Ochitwa the play focuses on real life experiences Skyler had growing up in grades 4-12.

His character, “Fresh” is faced with racism from the outset as a first nations person in a predominately white school in Glencairn.

He learns about what it means to be an indigenous person, and what the meaning of true friendship really is.

Both Anderson and Ochitwa are Regina based artists, who have been collaborating with the Globe Theatre for many years.

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday until April 10th, with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 pm.

For tickets, contact the Globe Box Office.
