Moose Jaw police charge man with five counts of arson

A Moose Jaw man has been charged with five counts of arson from fires that happened in the city from between summer 2021 and March 5 of this year.

Jody Lauer, 43, is facing five counts of arson. A total of 20 suspicious fires have been investigated for arson in the city, seeking similarities between them.

Lauer has been released on a court order with conditions including a curfew, and he’ll appear in Moose Jaw provincial court May 16.
