Premier Scott Moe said the attack on Ukraine by Russia by unprovoked, unwarranted and evil.
Moe said in a statement on social media that Russia should be met with severe and immediate trade sanctions, including ending the import on Russian oil and natural gas.
Moe said Saskatchewan stands with the people of Ukraine, and all Ukranian-Canadians with loved ones there.
“To those in Ukraine, and all Ukrainian-Canadians with loved ones in Ukraine, Saskatchewan stands with you.
“The attack by Russia is unprovoked, unwarranted and evil. Russia should be met with severe and immediate trade sanctions from nations across the world, including Canada. This must include immediately ending the import of Russian oil and natural gas,” Moe’s statement read.
