Elvis Presley film set to hit big screen

Visionary Director Baz Luhrmann is bringing Elvis Presley to the big screen in a new biopic.

The role of the king of rock will be played by relative newcomer Austin Butler with screen legend Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker Elvis’ manager.

The film will take movie goers  back to Presley’s childhood and covers his meteoric rise to the top of the musical world amid a turbulent American musical landscape.

Recently Baz Luhrmann directed Leonardo DiCaprio in the film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

The film is set to hit theaters June 24th.
