After dealing with heavy winds and blizzard conditions at the beginning of the week, residents will have to deal with extreme temperatures on Wednesday.
An extreme cold warning has been issued for the City of Regina along with the majority part of the province.
A building ridge of high pressure brought cold wind chills last night. With temperatures of below -30 mixed in with winds gusting to 20 km/ hour have created -40 wind chills.
We will likely get a break from the cold warning during the day on Wednesday, but the extreme cold warning will likely return during the evening or the early part of Thursday morning.
Temperatures are expected to rise on Thursday.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite
