People looking to start a career or looking for a new one in the trades industry will have a chance to learn more with the upcoming open house.
The Regina Trades and Skills Centre is hosting a virtual open house on February 1st.
Melissa Dobrowolski, the Operations Manager at Regina Trades & Skills Centre, said one of the reasons for the open house is it gives people a chance to learn more about what they do.
‘The intention of it is to bring awareness about what Regina Trades and Skills Centre actually is and people actually know what the goes on in the big red building on Albert and 7th.”
Dobrowolski said that with specific industries facing job shortages, now is necessary to get people interested in trades.
“The demands in the industry are huge. Employers are hurting for entry-level workers, and they are extremely important,” she said. “We are creating awareness that trades and skills are an option in order to get the training that they need to get the start that they want.”
