Crop research gets 3.3 million dollar boost from Western Grains Research Foundation

Crop research is getting a 3.3 million dollar boost from the Saskatoon-based Western Grains Research Foundation.

Executive director Garth Patterson says the funds will go to upgrade older farm machinery at eight Agriculture Canada Research Stations across the prairies.

Agriculture Canada will match the 3.3 million dollar investment.

In Saskatchewan, the funds go to research stations at locations like Indian Head, Swift Current and Saskatoon.
