COVID Case counts rise, along with hospitalizations

As the Saskatchewan government is on the cusp of relaxing isolation requirements Friday January 27th, rising case counts, hospitalizations, and new COVID-19 related fatalities continue to be reported in the province.

On January 27th the provincial COVID-19 dashboard reported 1273 new cases of COVID-19. Among the new cases, 433 Saskatoon. 195 Regina and 85 in the south east portion of the province.

Hospitalizations also increased by 13, to 328, including 35 people in provincial ICU’s.

The provincial test positivity rate is at 33% with 3851 tests being administered.

Provincially Saskatchewan saw 1360 recoveries and 1383 2nd dosages of the COVID-19 vaccine being administered.
