Regina Mobile Crisis Services fires employee after investigation into ”financial irregularities’

Regina’s Mobile Crisis Services is looking to the Regina Police Service in an ongoing investigation after financial irregularities within the organization.

In a news release, Mobile Crisis said it had hired MNP to perform an independent forensic audit and financial investigation after irregularities were detected in the organization’s payroll process in July of last year.

The organization said it cannot comment further on confidential HR issues or criminal charges but can confirm an employee has been dismissed due to the MNP report.

They also added that once they were aware of the issue, they have since implemented additional and appropriate safeguards and controls to ensure that it is complying and operating effectively and efficiently.
