The opening ceremonies for Iceville scheduled for New Year’s Eve have been cancelled.

REAL says the cancellation was a decision made in the interest of staff and guests safety with the extreme cold temperatures that Regina and Saskatchewan are currently experiencing.

Iceville will now open on Saturday, January 1st at 10:00 AM. Refunds will be issued for anyone who had booked a skating time on December 31.

The threshold for Iceville to remain on a particular day is -20 without windchill.

Iceville will be available to the public until February 3. It will also remain open from February 4-13 as apart of Frost at REAL.

If winter conditions exist February 14, the public will have access to Iceville.
