The federal government is providing almost 300 thousand dollars for the Prairie Organic Development Fund.

The money will enable farmers to adopt best practices in organic farming production.

The investment will enable the Prairie Organic Development Fund to deliver an organic ingredient strategy, which transfers specialized skills, knowledge and best practices to organic farmers.

The fund will also raise awareness about the benefits of organic farming.

The project will offer business extension tools and skills development to farmers across Canada through farm conferences and webinars, podcasts, online farming tools and training to support organic best practices.
