The City of Regina is reminding residents about its holiday garbage collection schedule and also has made a list to see if you are naughty or nice when it comes to recycling your garbage.
Starting Monday, garbage will be collected weekly. Standard winter biweekly garbage collection will be reinstated starting January 3.
They note that the best to keep your brown garbage cart from filling up is to ‘reduce, reuse, and recycle this holiday season, have made a naughty or nice list for people to follow.
Nice (Accepted in blue cart)
- Non-foil wrapping paper
- Paper cards and envelopes
- Paper bags
- Cardboard boxes
- Single-use baking trays
Naughty (Not accepted in blue cart)
- Foil wrapping paper
- Tissue paper
- Padded envelopes
- Ribbon and bows
- Styrofoam packaging
