It was a crime that had many in the community talking with several reaching out to help including one of our sister stations–Play 92.
On November 19, Carmichael Outreach was the victim of a break-in. That break-in resulted in the safe, a few laptops, cash and cheque donations that were to be deposited being taken.
Video footage of the theft led Regina Police to identification of a potential suspect with one person being arrested on Wednesday at the Regina Correctional Centre where he was on remand for unrelated events.
34-year-old Kyle Edwards is facing charges. He made an appearance in a Regina courtroom on Thursday morning.
After news of the break-in, some in the community rallied including Play 92 as morning show hosts Mark Johnston and Jessica Frost camped out at the Victoria Square Shopping Centre raising money for the charity. When they were done, close to $17,000 had been collected
