Semi driver killed in Highway 11 accident north of Davidson

Craik RCMP say a semi driver was killed in an accident on Highway 11 just north of Davidson early Monday morning that involved two semis.

The northbound lanes were closed for most of the day Monday while crews investigated, but have since re-opened.

Police say one semi jackknifed along Highway 11 and was then hit by another semi unit.

The driver of the second semi was killed, two people in the semi that jackknifed were not hurt.

The family of the deceased has been notified, but the drivers name and age has not been released.

RCMP say the collision remains under investigation.

Davidson is about 112 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
