Facebook post results in increased business for Regina donut shop

Those in the Warehouse District know how good of a place Country Corner Donuts is and so do many Reginans.

After a Facebook post this weekend from a nearby business, many are either re-discovering or discovering the business that Vuong Pham operates.

Those at Auto Electric, just down the street from Country Corner, frequent Pham’s business quite often whether it be lunch, coffee or donuts.  During some recent visits, they have been told about graffiti being written on the walls and rocks being thrown windrows over the past couple of weeks so they went to their Facebook page to inform Reginans of what was happening.

“We know Vuong and we know his staff and we kept hearing about what was going on.” Auto Electric’s Jennifer Fox said. “We felt something needed to be done and something needed to be said and we knew knowing the type of man he was that Vuong wouldn’t do it because he is the last person in the world to draw attention to myself.  We thought if we threw it up on our Facebook page that it would create some awareness and show him that this isn’t reflective of who people are”

The post did strike a chord with customers and others as he became very busy this weekend with Pham saying he actually ran out of donuts on Friday and Saturday as people rallied together.  He is very happy with what has happened.

“The reaction was really appreciated.” Pham said. “When I found out Friday what they had done and then we sold out and the same thing happened Saturday with many people saying I’m sorry you are going through this. It was really nice to see.”

Pham has run the business at the corner of Broad and Dewdney since it opened back in 1989.
