Bear spray incident at Cornwall Centre under investigation

Regina police have launched an investigation into a weapons offence that involved bear spray Thursday afternoon at the Cornwall Centre.

Police were dispatched to a weapons offence at the 2100 block of 11th Avenue at 4:10 p.m.

Mall security reported that a young man sprayed a victim on the shopping centre’s second floor with what is believed to be bear spray, then fled.

The building was evacuated as a result. Police arrived later, and the victim was located and assisted.
