RCMP in Moose Jaw are investigating a fatal pedestrian-vehicle accident that took place Wednesday evening on the Trans-Canada Highway, just east of Moose Jaw.

Initial investigation has determined a 21-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the highway, and was pronounced dead at the scene. her family has been notified, but her name has not been released to the public.

The motorists involved remained at the scene. They were not injured in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
