Active COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan under the 1000 mark

For the first time since August 14, active COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan are under the 1000 mark as the number now sits at 998.

The news comes as the province announces 73 new cases. The new cases are located in the Far North East (1), North West (3), North Central (13), Saskatoon (11), Central East (4), Regina (10), South West (2), South Central (11) and South East (10) zones and eight (8) new cases have pending residence information.  There was also one more death bringing the provincial total to 912.

152 people are in hospital including 35 in the ICU.  There are also eight people being cared for out of province.  Of the 152, the province says 108 are not fully vaccinated.

There were 1,039 vaccines put into the arms of Saskatchewan people on Sunday including 774 who received their second dose and are now considered fully vaccinated,
