Michael Fougere named new CEO for Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan

Former Regina Mayor Michael Fougere, has been named the next CEO for the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan.

Fougere was first elected to be Regina’s Mayor in 2012, and stayed in office until he was defeated in 2020 by Sandra Masters.

Before that Fougere was a prominent City Councilor for 15 years, first elected in 1997.

Before his time at City Hall, Fougere was the President of the Saskatchewan Construction Association.

“I am very excited about the work being done by this organization in advancing access to important health services, and I look forward to the work I will be doing with PAS to further develop this process,” Fougere said in a news release.

Fougere has a Master of Science (Econ.) from The London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) St. Francis Xavier University.

He started in his new position this past Monday.
