New COVID-19 case daily count at its lowest point since last summer

Only 86 new cases of COVID-19 are being announced by the Saskatchewan government on Tuesday.  That is the lowest figure since August 10th when 69 cases were announced.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (5), Far North East (2), North West (1), North Central (6), North East (1), Saskatoon (20), Central East (18), Regina (9), South Central (3) and South East (11) zones and ten (10) new cases have pending residence information.  There are now 1,424 active cases in Saskatchewan which is the lowest total since August 20.   One more person has also died which brings the provincial death total to 874.

There are 193 people in hospital including 51 in the ICU.  This does not include 15 residents who are in an intensive care unit in Ontario.

Only 988 vaccines were put into the arms of Saskatchewan people on Monday with 637 of those being second doses.
