An inmate has been  found dead Thursday at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre.

A statement from the Ministry of Corrections says the 53-year-old was found unresponsive in his cell with him being declared dead at 6:20 p.m. after unsuccessful attempts to revive him.

The Prince Albert Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service have been notified and are investigating the death.
