Active COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan fall under 2,000 mark

The active COVID-19 case is at a point that hasn’t been seen since August 27.

On Monday, the province announced the active case count has once again fallen under the 2,000 mark as it stands at 1,950.

There are also 128 new cases to report.  The new cases are located in the Far North East (3), North West (10), North Central (15), North East (7), Saskatoon (30), Central West (2), Central East (17), Regina (26), South West (4), South Central (1) and South East (7) zones and six (6) new cases have pending residence information.  Three more people have also passed away due to complications from the virus putting the provincial total at 854.

There are 222 people in hospital including 55 in the ICU. That does not include the 26 that are receiving care out-of-province.

2,068 vaccines were delivered Sunday with 1,522 of those being second shots.
