The University of Saskatchewan has announced that they’re beefing up vaccination requirements for the winter term.
Beginning January 4th, anyone accessing campus will be required to be fully vaccinated. Negative COVID-19 tests within 72 hours or those not willing to disclose their vaccination status will no longer be accepted unless there are approved accommodations for that individual.
USask says 99 per cent of faculty, 96 per cent of students, and 95 per cent of staff are now fully vaccinated. The winter term will see more in-person activity on campus.
The university says the decision is to make the campus more safe for the return of more in-person classes and activities. The university is giving two months notice to allow people time to get fully vaccinated.
