As of November 1, all city facilities and arenas will require you to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter.
That motion was approved unanimously at a special meeting of Regina City Council on Monday morning.
The only places where this is exempt is public libraries, the Regina Transit Information Centre and Regina Transit
Mayor Sandra Masters says the policy will be in effect until they start to see the ICU situation and the pressure on the healthcare system get alleviated somewhat so there is no timetable.
With only a week until the policy is instituted, Masters sees no problem in making sure all is ready to go as security will be used or city staff will be redeployed to make sure proper procedures are being taken.
