SaskPork has set up a hotline for residents to report sightings of wild boars.
SaskPork general manager Mark Ferguson says wild pigs are considered an invasive species, introduced 20 to 30 years ago, and cause serious damage to plants and wild animals.
As well, he says the wild boars carry diseases that can be transmitted to domestic livestock and humans.
Anyone spotting a wild boar is asked to contact their nearest crop insurance office, or a hotline number 1-833-744-7768.
A hunt team will be dispatched to remove the animals.
