Agriculture minister David Marit has proclaimed the week of October 3rd to 9th as Animal Health Week in Saskatchewan.

He says Animal Health Week recognizes the high level of care provided by Saskatchewan ranchers to livestock, and the important vet-client relationships that guide animal care decisions.

He says this week showcases producers and veterinary specialists who follow best practices to provide the highest level of care for animals.

Animal Health Week has been celebrated across Canada for more than 30 years through the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association.

This year’s national theme is Animal Health plus Human Health plus Planet Health equal One Health.
