Monday has become a day where those who are addicted to their Facebook and Instagram accounts were not able to access them.

A worldwide outage hit Facebook along with its Instagram and WhatsApp platforms around 9:40 Saskatchewan time Monday morning with service not being restored until around 3:30

The company did not say what might be causing the outage.

Facebook’s only public comment so far was a tweet in which it acknowledged that “some people are having trouble accessing (the) Facebook app” and that it was working on restoring access.
