Miyo-wiciwitowin Day announced for 2022 at Mosaic Stadium

One year from today, the first national day of coming together as a community to share in truth, with the purpose of inspiring active truth and reconciliation will take place at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

Miyo-wiciwitowin Day, which means reconciliation in Cree, will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on September 29th, 2022.

The day will feature speakers, including residential school survivors stories, there will also be dancers, drummers and other performers.

Cowessess First Nation Chief Cadmus Delorme said days like this will help drive the difficult but necessary conversations that are needed.

“In order to get to reconciliation, we must first accept the truth,” Chief Delorme said. “It is not going to be easy, but with uncomfortable conversations, I know we’ll get there,” he added.

“We all share this and walk together, that is a new day, one day at a time, as we take the truth and reconciliation calls to action more serious, Miyo-wiciwitowin will one day become a reality.”

School aged kids from grade seven and up are invited to attend along with the business community and public.

The goal is to completley fill Mosaic Stadium.

Details on how to get involved are still being finalized, visit. for updates.
