394 new COVID-19 cases in SK; three new deaths

The active COVID-19 case in Saskatchewan is dropping, but the amount of new cases is still high.

On Wednesday, the province announced 394 new cases of the virus.  The new cases are located in the Far North West (22), Far North East (29), North West (48), North Central (36), North East (23), Saskatoon (59), Central West (7), Central East (27), Regina (47), South West (25), South Central (24) and South East (31) zones and 16 new cases have pending residence information..  This puts the active case count at 4,585 which is a drop of 149 from Tuesday.   There are also three more deaths to bring the provincial total to 685.

Of the 394 cases, 334 were in people that have not been vaccinated with 90 of those 334 being kids 0-11 who can not be vaccinated at this time.

Hospitalizations have dropped by 16 with 295 now needing care. Of those 295, 67 are in the ICU which is a new record breaking the old one set just Tuesday at 65.  The province says there are no ICU beds located in the Far North West, Far North Central, Far North East, North East, Central West and South East regions.

There were 3,548 vaccines adminstered on Tuesday. Almost 2,000 of those were first doses.

The province says 820,875 people have received their first dose while 732,011 are fully vaccinated
